Lomack Health provides an Occupational Health support service to ensure the well-being and safety of employees in the workplace. We provide this service to employers in both the private and public sectors and would be delighted to hear from you if you wish to ensure that you are doing all you can to protect your employees.

Our objectives are to:

  • Provide employers with an independent evidence-based report
  • Assist employers in producing and maintaining a robust Health and Safety Policy
  • Advise on how to fulfil statutory responsibilities
  • Prevent ill health and injury through assessment and identification of risks and hazards
  • Develop sound risk reduction management plans
  • Reduce short and long-term sickness absence
  • Promote the physical and mental well-being of employees

We do this by providing the following core services:

  • Advice on ill-health and injury a work
  • Advice on Health and Safety at work, including implementation of and compliance with COSHH and RIDDOR
  • Health surveillance – ongoing monitoring of health at work
  • Advice on ill-health, rehabilitation and retirement
  • Advice on first aid provision
  • Health promotion at work – topics to improve the health of employees
  • Travel health and immunisation
  • Counselling and support for work-related stress
  • Spirometry (lung function testing)
  • Keystone vision screening, including ergonomic advice for VDU operators
  • Audiometry (hearing tests)
  • Flu vaccinations
  • Testing for alcohol and drugs
  • Primary healthcare for your employees through our private health clinic
  • Managerial referrals – a manager may seek an independent medical opinion and occupational health advice if they are concerned about an employee’s health. This may be a result of poor performance, a question mark over an employee’s suitability to continue in their present job, or any other health and safety issues which may have arisen

  • Review of Health Questionnaire

  • Visual acuity (if applicable)
  • Cardio-vascular examination - blood pressure
  • Central nervous system examinaton
  • Musculo-skeletal system examination
  • Skin examination
  • Urine analysis
